

Johnny graduated from Rider High School in 1964. Following graduation, he served with the U.S. Navy from 1964-1968, completing two tours in Vietnam. After his tours, Johnny went on to work as a mechanic at several dealerships in Wichita Falls and followed that with driving a truck all over the country, which he thoroughly enjoyed. He then went on to complete his working career at Cerbay, retiring after dedicating 15 years as a machine operator. Johnny was a member of the Lake Arrowhead Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed fishing and gardening, loved maintaining his beautiful st. augustine grass, and taking yearly trips with his wife and friends to Galveston Island.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 36 years Annette, one sister Janet Pegg of Cotopaxi, CO, a son Randy Pegg and wife Stefanie of Boerne, TX, three daughters Tammie (Pegg) Nilsson and husband Anders of Arlington, TX, Melissa Litteken and husband Brian of Wichita Falls, and Jessica (Pegg) Bartels of Pattison, TX. Eight grandchildren he was so proud of and loved with all his heart, Dylan Pegg, Brendan Pegg, Stefan Nilsson, Christian Nilsson, Caleb Litteken, Raegan Litteken, Skyler Bartels, and Sydney Bartels, along with three great-grandchildren, Jesse, Ivar, and Cambree.
A memorial in his honor will be scheduled for a future date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Hospice of Wichita Falls.
