Johnny graduated from Rider High School in 1991 and went on to earn a Bachelor’s of Science from Midwestern State University in 1998. Throughout his life, he carried himself with a steady diligence and a generous spirit—qualities that shaped the way he showed up for the people who mattered most to him.
In 2006, Johnny welcomed his son, Braeden Twilligear, into his life. Together they shared simple joys that became lasting memories: time outdoors, playful afternoons with NERF guns, and the familiar tradition of renting REDBOX movies. Johnny also adopted two cats from the humane society and loved them dearly; they were his companions and a comfort to him.
In his younger years, Johnny enjoyed playing golf, watching sports, and, in later years, following his son’s baseball career with pride and devotion. In these everyday moments—showing up, paying attention, and caring deeply—Johnny’s compassion and kind-hearted nature were quietly but unmistakably felt.
Johnny is preceded in death by his son, Caston Twilligear.
He leaves behind his son, Braeden Twilligear; his parents, Johnny and Becky; his brother, Todd Twilligear and wife Michelle; his sister, Candi Maxwell; three nieces, Kaylee, Abby, and Maggie; and one nephew, Jason.
Johnny was greatly loved and will be dearly missed.
