LaPriel Marie Parton

of 63. LaPriel was born to Durwood and Leonida Parton on September 6, 1958 in Wichita Falls, TX.

Services will be held April 11, 2022 at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home &

Memorial Park in Wichita Falls, TX at 11:00 A.M. Interment to follow at Crestview Cemetery.

LaPriel graduated from S. H. Rider High School in l976 and attended Midwestern State

University and was a member of the Alpha Phi Soriety, and later attended Miss Wade’s Fashion

Merchandising College in Dallas, TX., where she received an Associate Degree in Applied Arts in

1979. LaPriel enjoyed being surrounded by family and watching her great nephew and nieces play.

She was known to her family by several nicknames that she loved. They called her “Sister”,

“Poopsy”, “Pill”, and “Aunt Pill”.

LaPriel is survived by her sister, Durleen VanWinkle of Wichita Falls; her nephew Blake

VanWinkle and wife Lauren and their children, Neylan, Tucker and Collins; her niece Heather Van

Winkle and Tim Butos and child, Henley; nieces Jamie Holder Harding and son, Justin, Karrie

Holder Curb and her daughters, Krystal and Lindley, Tammie Holder Lile and husband Dewayne and

their son, Garrett; nephew, Mark Holder and wife Stephanie and daughter, Hannah, Jeff Bridgewater

and wife Chanda and son, Luke, her best friend and cousin, Janet Weathers, along with numerous

cousins. Also a loving friend, Stephen “Hank” Henry; LaPriel is preceded in death by her parents,

Durwood and Leonida Parton, brother, Garland Ray Parton, sister, Maxine “Mickey” Holder and

brother, Rick Bridgewater, and her favorite fur babies, Bella and BeBe.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers that a donation be made in the name of LaPriel

Marie Parton in loving memory of her mother, Leonida Parton to Hospice of Wichita Falls.
