He was born October 3, 1943 in Wichita Falls, the son of the late Aline and Russell Skinner. He was the second youngest of a large extended family.
He married Sharon Reel on August 07, 1965. He was a Past Master of Faith Lodge 1157 in Wichita Falls.
He is survived by two sisters, Thelma Ralls and Wanda Smith, sister in law Georgene Hutson and 4 children, daughter and son in law Denise and Charlie Baxter, son Larry Skinner Jr., daughter and son in law Kimberly and Robert Jones, daughter and son in law Rebecca and Brett Martin. Mr. Skinner has 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter Kierstin Wilson.
Services will be held on Tuesday, August 29th at 2:00 pm at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home. Private interment will be held at a later date.
