Leora "Jackie" Brookshire

She was preceded in death by her Daughter, Carol Jean Welch on March 2, 2016. Two grandchildren Courtney and Kasey Welch and Father Carl Welch, all of Kansas City, MO.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Glenn D. Brookshire of Wichita Falls, TX. A sister Fern Green of Norborne, MO, a grandson Keven Welch and wife Kim and their three daughters, Olivia, Sophia, and Ella all of St. Louis, MO. Also Glenn’s brother Tony Brookshire and wife Cathy of Wichita Falls, TX, and many Nieces, Nephews, and Friends.

Jackie worked in Wichita, Kansas after High School at Bowing on the B-29’s during W.W.II. Later after coming to Texas she worked at the Highboy Drive INN where she and Glen met. Later at C.H. Parker and Piggly Wiggly as a Union Meat Wrapper for 23 years. After that she worked 18 years at the State Hospital where she retired.

Funeral Services for Leora will be at Lakeside Baptist Church, Friday March 15, 2024 at 2 PM. Fellowship and viewing before the service at 1 PM. Pastor Darren Ward will do the service and Interment will follow at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home.
