

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 19, 2026, at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home in Wichita Falls, Texas. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with funeral services immediately following.
Linda was born on August 11, 1944, in Wichita Falls, Texas to Raymond Dale and Pearlene Cannedy Roberts. She was the youngest of three children.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Pearlene Roberts; her sister Betty Sue Roberts-Dunn; and her daughter, Carol Ammons-Coughlin.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Jim Ammons; her sons, John Andrews and wife Brydie of Fountain Hills, Arizona, and Jeff Ammons and wife Alexa of Wichita Falls, Texas; her sister, Ruth Anne Demsky and husband Dennis of Kansas City, Missouri; and her beloved grandchildren, Bryce Andrews, Faith Andrews, and Jack Ammons, as well as Conner Coughlin and wife Ariel, and Kirby Coughlin and wife Erin. She is also survived by her precious great-grandson, Sean Coughlin, all of Wichita Falls, Texas.
Linda also leaves behind cherished nieces and nephews, Ashley Brown, Nick Blackwell, Carl Ray Dunn, and Sheri Harwood, along with many cousins and dear friends.
Linda married Jim Ammons on July 13, 1980. Together they shared a loving marriage that spanned nearly 46 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness and generosity touched countless lives.
Throughout her life, Linda lived in Mississippi, Colorado, Arizona, and Florida before eventually returning home to Wichita Falls. She enjoyed a highly successful 30-year career in real estate, beginning with Hirschi Realtors and later joining RE/MAX Realtors, where she became a broker and co-owner. During her distinguished career, Linda served on numerous real estate committees and was honored with the Salesperson of the Year Award.
A dedicated public servant and community leader, Linda served six years on the Wichita Falls City Council. She was a member of the Wichita Falls Association of Realtors Board of Directors and served as President of the Republican Women's Club. Her commitment to the community was evident through her involvement with Relay for Life, Race for the Cure, Crime Stoppers, the Child Welfare Board, Child Care Services, MHMR, the Chamber of Commerce (BCI), the Parks Board, Planning and Zoning, and as co-owner of Marchman Downtown.
Linda graduated from Colorado State University and spent 10 years teaching business-related classes in the public school system, including Wichita Falls High School (Old High), as well as six years teaching at the junior college level.
Linda embraced life with enthusiasm and joy. She loved shopping, traveling, playing golf, working as a realtor, gathering with family, and serving her community. As she often said, she was "living her best life."
To those who knew and loved her, Linda was affectionately known as "Moppy." She had a kind and generous heart, loved her family deeply, and never hesitated to help others. Whether spending time with loved ones in The Villages, Florida, or back home in Wichita Falls, she found her greatest happiness in the moments shared with family and friends.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to House of Hope for the compassionate care, comfort, and support provided to Linda during her stay.
Linda's legacy of love, service, and devotion to family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
