Lisa was born on August 10, 1982, to Carl and Sylvia Oliver of Ratcliff, Texas. As the youngest of three daughters, she was known early on as a fun-loving, outgoing child who delighted in making others laugh. She graduated from Kennard High School in 2000 and soon began training and working as a phlebotomist at Woodland Heights Hospital in Lufkin, Texas.
On October 4, 2003, Lisa married Brian Keith Lyons of Wichita Falls. Together, they built a life centered on faith, family, and love. They were blessed with two sons, Austin and Benjamin, whom they dearly love. From the beginning of their marriage, Lisa and Brian were committed to putting God first in their family, attending Grace Church and drawing encouragement from Christian worship and music as a cornerstone of their home.
Lisa worked for a time as a FedEx Express delivery driver, but she found her most fulfilling calling as a Preschool Teacher at Wichita Christian School, where she served from 2016 until her passing. She had a deep love for children and joyfully encouraged a Christian faith in the hearts of the preschool students she taught.
Outside of her work, Lisa enjoyed photography, outdoor walks, and hikes with her family, playing cards and board games, and attending her sons’ sporting events. She treasured time spent with those she loved.
Above all, Lisa was devoted to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, her family, and the children she served through her work at Wichita Christian School. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her, yet her family finds comfort in knowing they will be reunited with her one day. Lisa was a precious gift to her parents at birth, and later in life to her husband, her family, and her community.
Lisa is survived by her husband, Brian Keith Lyons, and sons Austin and Benjamin; her parents, Carl and Sylvia Oliver; her sister Nina Hooper, husband Grady, and children Cate and Logan; her sister Kristy Hettinga, husband Josh, and children Lacey, Grant, and Savannah; her grandmother Oueida Oliver; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
