Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, August 28, 2014 in the chapel of Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home with Bill Pursley officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 7:00 in the evening on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at the funeral home.
Lula was born January 11, 1928 in Punkin Center, Texas to Raymond and Lula Mae (Shytles) Skelton. She was the eldest of five children, Don, Gene, Jorene and Martha were her siblings. Lula was raised by her Aunt and Uncle, Roy and Audrey Skelton Brazil and she considered her cousin’s, Leroy Wayne Brazil and Sarah Schantz as siblings. She worked for Levi Strauss, Gibson’s Discount Center and Striech’s Wholesale.
Lula is preceded in death by her parents, brother’s; Don Skelton and Leroy Wayne Brazil, sister; Martha Lee Estes.
She is survived by her children; Susan Beth Tillery and Daniel Wayne Smith, sister’s; Jorene and Sarah, brother; Gene, 3 Grandchildren, 6 Great - Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren.
