Margaret A Thomas

Margaret A. “Maggie” Thomas, 75, of Wichita Falls went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 27, 2011. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 1, 2011 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Garden of the Cross at Crestview Memorial Park on Highway 79, officiated by Joe Coombes of First Baptist Church of Burkburnett.

Mrs. Thomas, a resident of Wichita County for 41 years, was retired from L & M Restaurant and later Marty’s Pioneer Restaurant. She loved playing darts with her many friends and was a member of the American Darters Association. Through the years she won a number of national darting competitions. She was also an avid gardener and enjoyed fishing as well.

Mrs. Thomas was a native of Nevada City, California, the daughter of Jeff and Geraldine Mooers. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James A. Thomas; and daughter, Sherri D. Thomas.

Survivors include her brother Richard Mooers and his wife Judy of Grass Valley, CA; two sons, Michael J. Thomas and wife Carrie of Wichita Falls, Timothy S. Thomas and wife Christie of Burkburnett; three grandchildren, Brittany Thomas of Amarillo, TX, Meagan Thomas of Michigan, Curtis Lowers of Burkburnett; step-grandchildren, Joshua and Leslie Smith and son Layne, Suzanne and Ben Couchman, Jeffery Pipkin and daughter Maggie Sue.

Visitation will be held 6:00-7:30 p.m., Wednesday at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.
