Julie, I have read the message below many times and just feel that short message is not all I need to say to you. Ever since we were children you have been my closest friend. When we went to the lake you and I would go swimming with Steve. That lake was so different from the swimming pools I was used to and every time a fish touched my foot it scared me. We saw movies together. We went to the State Fair of Texas together. We went to Six Flags together. You, me and Steve. The three musketeers. You are a beautiful soul and I am greatly sorry for your loss. You were not given the time to grieve for your father when you lost your husband six months later. This makes it extra hard to recover. But you will recover because you are not only a wonderful person but you are a very strong person. We send our love. Mark Huddleston

Julie, I am so sorry for your loss. I was reading about the loss of your father and when I did more research I was shocked to find out about the loss of your husband.    Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort. Though Mark and I grew apart as adults we were still family. I will never forget how kind and generous Mark was. We are truly sorry for your lose and wish we could be there in person to express our condolences.

Robert and Ann, I am truly sorry for your loss Mark was a good Man. I have fond memories of being with Mark and the girls as a youngster.

I lived on the next street over, less than a block away from Mark and family, when we first met at elementary school.

To My Dear Friend Mark:  As kids, we spent many hours together playing catch baseball and wrestling in your back yard.  Did I really win those few times or did you just let me win?  I remember the visits we made to the Penny Saver store up the street to see what bargains we could find when we could muster up even .50 cents.  Money sure went further back then.  Years later after going separate ways across town, we re-kindled our friendship during our high school age.  Although we went to different schools (Rider you, Old High me), that didn't matter to friends.  When I bought my Red '69 Mustang, I called you to come over and check it out, which you did.  Sometime after then you asked me to go on the test drive for a certain '72 Chevelle SS you were looking at, green color I believe?  That was quite an event sitting in the backseat of that hotrod during the drive, while you sat up in the front passenger seat with a big grin on your face.  You were hooked, and after you bought it, we rode around "cruising Kemp", listening to your 8-Track of Hotel California and I'm sure I brought along some Boston and Steve Miller...  Those were fun days indeed, with our love for fast cars and music.  After high school, you didn't think twice when I asked you to be in my wedding in March of 1980, and we still have those pictures.  See the one attached of us.    

We will meet again, my friend.  When we do, have that baseball glove handy.  We'll pick-up that game of catch that we started so many years ago. 

To Mark's Family:  Although my career called my wife Dana and I away from Wichita Falls in the fall of 1980, I have carried these fond memories with me over the years of travelling around the world.  Please know that I always felt that Mark was one of my best friends and one that I could call at any time and he would be there.  It's been many years now, but that always meant a lot to me.  I know this is a difficult time, but hold your heads up high.  If I can ever be of any help, please do not hesitate to let me know.
