

Martha Ann (Fairley) Lawson passed away Saturday, January 1, 2011 in Wichita Falls. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel with Tom Dugan officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park.
Mrs. Lawson was born on March 10, 1936 in Mobile, Alabama to Louise and Willis Fairley. She married Robert Milton Lawson, who was stationed with the U.S. Navy at Pensacola Beach, Florida, on December 18, 1954 in Mobile. He preceded her in death in 2005. They had a son, Jerry Milton Lawson, born in Pensacola on October 3, 1955 and he also preceded her. Their daughter, Debora Louise was born in Oakland, Ca. on November 24, 1956. After leaving the Navy, Martha and Bob returned to Wichita Falls where son, David Patrick was born on March 27, 1962.
Martha was a member of Floral Heights United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and worked with the youth group. She went to work as Assistant to the Registrar at Midwestern State University in 1968 until her retirement in 1991.
Martha and Bob had three children; the late Jerry Lawson and wife, Brenda of Wichita Falls; Debbie Estes and husband, Rick, Burleson, Tx.; David Lawson and wife, Vicki, Wichita Falls. Other survivors are sister, Jean LaCombe, Baton Rouge, La.; brother Joseph Mitchell of Australia; grandchildren, Ashley Lawson, Mackenzey Lawson, Krista Dugan and husband, Tom, Kelly Medders and husband, Matthew, Matthew Arnold, Jennifer Lawson and Jeremy Lawson; great grandchildren, Madison, Makenna, Trinity, Chance and Kerrington.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to Hospice of Wichita Falls, 4909, Johnson Rd., 76310.
