

Michael Elliott Lanier, 29, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at his residence in Dallas. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, July 22, 2011 at University United Methodist Church, 3405 Taft Blvd., with Rev. Dean Libby officiating. Interment will follow in Crestview Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 Thursday evening at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.
Michael was born on July 15, 1982 in Anchorage, Alaska. He attended school in Wichita Falls and graduated from S. H. Rider High School in 2001. He was a member of University United Methodist Church here in Wichita Falls. Michael was an apprentice electrician and worked in Wichita Falls, Abilene, and most recently in Dallas.
Michael was a friend to everyone who knew him. He was head-strong and loving, stubborn yet considerate. He lived his life in a vibrant way, and will long be remembered for his crazy antics and contagious smile. Michael loved his family and friends, and all the ladies. He will be sorely missed by all the lives he touched during his short time here. His nephews and niece were the apples of his eye, and they, in turn, dearly loved their wonderful Uncle Michael. His imprint will forever be embedded on our hearts.
Survivors are his mother, Debra W. Yancey and husband, Dorman of Wichita Falls; father, Mark E. Lanier and wife, Paula of Colleyville, TX.; one brother Brent Lanier of Pittsburgh, PA, one sister, Holly Lanier of Wichita Falls; nephews, Blake Humphrey and Austin Humphrey and niece Tayci Thompson. Michael also leaves behind a host of friends.
