My deepest sympathies to the family.  I’ve known Mike off and on for 20 years.  When I was the squadron superintendent, he was our lead civilian and I’ll always be great full for our many talks and mentoring sessions.  When I came back to civil service he welcomed me with open arms.  I will always remember how much he cared for all of us that worked for him.  I will miss him forever.  Until we meet again my friend.


Mr. White was the first "high-up" boss to take the time to mentor me. He always said he didn't want me to leave, but wanted to see me excel in my career. So it was no surprise that he was the first person to congratulate me when I was promoted out of 363. He actually knew I was selected before I found out (go figure). I will always remember and cherish the talks in his office about career, family, and life in general. I was shocked when I heard the news of his passing, and will continue to work to make him proud. Thank you , Mr. White... for everything. 

I’m so thankful to have had the privilege to thank Mike again (just weeks ago) for helping me turn my life around.  Back in the mid 80’s, my own dad had passed away while I was failing as a student at Chanute AFB.  SSgt Michael White was assigned By Eldon Hulls to give me my “Last Chance” to get through the corse.  Mike was very humble, he told me the story of what had happened to him in Vietnam, how as a SSgt he had lost everything, had been demoted to Airmen Basic, then slowly regained himself.  He explained aircraft systems to me - the way I needed to understand them, and was the first Instructor to hand me wrenches and say “remove and replace these parts”.   In the 90’s, MSgt White became my Super-intendant, I was then a SSgt Instructor at Sheppard (all my students heard my story about Mike White and 2nd, 3rd, and for me - even 4th chances).  To me Mike was a Saint, sent by the Good Lord at just the right time - and I’m so thankful to know that he loves the Lord and is now in His presence.  See you soon Mike🕊🕊🕊

Sorry to hear about Mike.  We worked at Chanute AFB and Sheppard AFB together.  He helped me to get things going when our courses moved to Sheppard.

Your love for family was one of your greatest gifts! I love you!

Your official "title" in this crazy family of ours was "brother-in-law" which lasted less than a second as we immediately knew you were our brother whether you liked it or not!  We loved you more and more as we got to know you, giving you as much teasing and grief as you gave us...definite proof you were one of us!   Our hearts are broken but we know you will continue to guide, protect and watch over every single one of us from above!  RIP and fly high brother!   We will love you always and you will forever be in our hearts!

My condolences to Nelva and the family. I have known Mr. White for the last 12 years and he has always been a great guy.   I enjoyed working with him and for him. I was so excited when he decided to retire for good. Even after retirement he would still attend our events and it was nice to see his smiling face. He was fun to be around and full of life.  We miss you more than ever. We can’t describe how much we love you. I’m gonna miss all of the memories we made together and as a family. Your humming always made me laugh and I’m gonna miss the love you put into making banana milkshakes. 

PPa will truly be missed by the Causey family. He excepted our son Jermaine into his family as a grandson. He was the only grandfather figure he knew. He was so kind and had a big heart. I got jealous when other family friends called him PPa. I took that personal. We loved him and will miss him. 

Oh the memories of when we were neighbors in the 80s at Chanute Air Force Base.  I remember the day you married Nelva and the family became one.  Thankful for Facebook that we all reconnected within the last few years.  You will be missed, Rest In Peace.  Your Friends Ron and Diane Hoelle 

Mike brought me over to the 363 in Jan 18.  A very kind, understanding supervisor who "got the job done" by knowing what it took to get the most out of his people.  It was shocking when he retired in Dec 20 but he looked forward to many years in retirement. Yet, I'm writing this in Jan 22.   You are with our Father in heaven now; no more pain, no more hurt.  Rest in Peace my friend.  

I was so sorry to hear about Mike.  We worked together in the 360th Training Support Flight prior to my retirement in 2005.  E. B. “Robbie” Robinson.

Mr. White took a chance on me when no one else at Sheppard would. Because of that, I worked hard every day to do right by him. He was a true mentor in every sense of the word. I am stunned by his loss, but I am happy our paths crossed. Salut, Mr. White. We have the watch.
