Michelle was born on November 17, 1943 in Dallas, Texas to Michel and Miriam Levy. She was the youngest of three girls. Michelle graduated from South Oak Cliff High School in 1961 and attended Stephen F. Austin University. She was co-owner of Astra Travel located in Wichita Falls for 16 years. On December 6, 1975, she married the love of her life, James "Jim" Edward Lollar. They have the greatest love story and were known for always holding hands everywhere they went.
Michelle loved the people of Wichita Falls and served as President of the Charles Donnelly Chapter Air Force Association and served on the boards of the Better Business Bureau, The Red Cross and the Chamber of Commerce. She was a member of the Resource Group and President of Gold Coats Ambassadors. In her earlier years, you could be sure to find her playing golf or just riding horses with her favorite cowboy. Michelle was a long-time volunteer delivering Meals on Wheels to the homebound in her community. This became her passion and during the holidays, she loved to make home-made cookies and take them to all the people on their route. Her family enjoyed many meals that she prepared all these years, especially her pies, and her most famous recipes will be passed on for generations to come.
She leaves her beloved husband of 43 years, James Edward Lollar of Wichita Falls; her sister Jo Ann and David Miller of Conroe Texas. With much love she left her daughter Kimberley and Greg Byrd of Dallas, Texas; her son John and Christina Lollar of Thomaston, Georgia; stepdaughter Connie and Carl Zettlemoyer of Glasgow, Kentucky; stepdaughter Neddie and John Suskie of Little Rock, Arkansas; and son-in-law Clay Lee of Humble, Texas. Michelle adored her 15 grandchildren and she was very blessed during these last year's celebrating the lives of her 18 great grandchildren. She leaves behind many very special nieces and nephews. She was also a wonderful Mom and Grammy to many who crossed her path throughout her life. She is preceded in death by her parents Michel and Miriam Levy and her sister, Mary Field. She is also preceded in death by her stepdaughter, Mary Francis Lee and a grandson, Kyle Suskie, Jr.
A service will be held at 10am, Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the Texoma Cowboy Church, with her son-in-law, Reverend Greg Byrd officiating at 919 US Hwy 281 South, Wichita Falls, Texas 76310. Relatives and friends are encouraged to attend and celebrate her life. Come dressed casually and you are invited to eat and visit with the family after the service.
