Mildred I Thompson

On this day, February 27, 2015, we remember Mildred Irene Arbuckle- Parks Thompson, who is now with our Heavenly Father and his son, Jesus Christ our Savior, who we ask to answer our prayers during our time of loss.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Thompson will be held at 3:00 pm Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at the chapel of Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home with Pastor Bren Robinson and Pastor John D. Ward officiating. Interment will follow in Crestview Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 Tuesday evening at the funeral home.

Mildred was born July 3, 1931 to Arlie K. and Cora Irene Arbuckle at 703 4th Street in Wichita Falls, Texas. Mildred is the second to oldest sibling to Kenneth Ray, Louis Edward, Ouisa Jane, Gene Harold, Norma Beatrice and Ira Pressley. She is also preceded in death by two set of twin siblings.

In Mildred’s later life, she married Billy Joe Parks of Wichita Falls in 1944 and into this union they had four children; Billy Kenneth, Arlie Joe, Charlie Lee and Paula Elane Parks. Billy Joe preceded her in death in 1958. Mildred later married John Junior Thompson of if Wichita Falls to whom she was happily married until his death in 1991. Mildred is also preceded in death by her parents; mother-in-law Marie Thompson, Louis Edward Arbuckle, Ouisa Jane Arbuckle-Blodgett, Maggie and Wally Wegner, Jo and Gino Gallo and last, Rose Kawalski.

Mildred is survived by three siblings; Kenneth Ray and Linda Arbuckle, Norma Beatrice and Bill Clark and Gene Arbuckle; her children, Billy Kenneth Parks, Arlie Joe and Peggy Parks, Charlie Lee and Linda Parks and Paula Elane and Lloyd Curington; grandchildren, John Parks, Bobby Reid, Charlie Parks Jr., Theresa Carlock, Dan Parks, Doug and Lindsay Curington, Lori and Sean Samarron, Celeste Bass, Mark Kawalski, Gary and Julie Parks, Mackenzie Parks, Demetrius, Jamaica and Andre Rector; great grandchildren, Abril Parks, Erica Crowson, Cheyenne and Colt Crowson, Luke Carlock, Megan Parks, Logan Parks, Michael Parks, Brittany Varenhurst, Savanha Smith, Cash, Jett and Teddi Sammarron, Ryan and Addy Curington, Sierra, Jalen Aaliyah, Kaymyn and Georgia Ray Rector, Natasha and Cassandre Bass, Waylon, Jacklynn and Jocelynn Reid; great-great grandchildren, Emma Lee Sheffield and Isabell Reid; also a host of nieces and nephews.
