She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years Michel Levy, as well as her brother James Davis Goodrich, a grandson David Michel Greene, and a granddaughter Mary Francis Lee.
After growing up in Houston, Texas and marrying Michel, Miriam followed Michel from Army Post to Army Post. She was an exemplary mentor for officer’s wives during World War II. After Michel’s return from Germany they moved to Dallas in 1948, and then returned to Houston in 1965. Miriam moved to Wichita Falls in 1994. Although Miriam, fondly known as Mimi, often spoke of being blessed by her loving family and so many friends, it is those of us left behind who have been blessed to have had Mimi touch our lives for many years. A devoted wife, a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, and aunt, Mimi’s family will be inspired for years to come. During her life Miriam participated in many organizations such as Girl Scouts, Sunday school, Methodist Women’s Society, PTA and was a long time blood donor to M.D. Anderson. Miriam was an excellent seamstress and excelled at handwork and crafts. When Miriam moved to Wichita Falls, she became a member of Floral Heights Methodist Church where she participated in the Merle Anthony Sunday School, The Pantry and the Latchkey Program.
