Jeanie was born in Wichita Falls on August 3, 1932 to Fred George Willen and Norma Catherine Medlinger. She was a majorette at Wichita Falls High School class of 1949 and attended Midwestern University where she was also a majorette.
Jeanie worked for Shell Oil company just out of college then spent the remainder of her working life managing apartments, cosmetic sales and boutique sales. She loved attending Midwestern basketball games with family and friends, watching the Dallas Mavericks and Texas Rangers. Jeanie could always be counted on to call with cheerful wishes to family and friends on birthdays and anniversaries…or sometimes just to say “hello”.
Jeanie is survived by her son, Greg Horn and wife Lynda of Arlington, Texas; stepsons, Bo Rinard of Wichita Falls, Zac Rinard and wife Jan of Lubbock, Texas; Stepdaughters, Gay Ann Witt and husband Mark, of Theodore, Alabama and Beth Lahman and husband Ronald of Bowie, Texas; grandchildren Rebecca Horn, Chance Witt, Amanda Carroll, Ashley Gonzenbach, Mary Elice Broussard, Krysta Cecil, Lindsey Scarbery, Ryan Rinard and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Jeanie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joe W. Rinard, brother, Fred G. “Bud” Willen, Jr. and her daughter Becky Horn.
Visitation will be held on March 11, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Our Lady Queen of Peace. Funeral Mass will follow 2:00 pm at our Lady Queen of Peace, 2601 Lansing, Wichita Falls, Texas. Rite of committal will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery after Mass under the direction of Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home.
