Olive was born February 15, 1928 in Bristol, England to William and Emma (Wilson) Farrell. She attended Kernott School in Bristol, graduating with full honors. During World War II, she met and married the one and only love of her life, James Blanton. At the end of WWII, she crossed The Pond on the Queen Mary with her young son to join her husband to begin their life in Texas. Four children were born to this union until the untimely passing of her husband in 1964. The young widow was a wonderful homemaker and raised her children in a home full of love and care. She was a gourmet cook and maintained a beautiful home. She loved her home and enjoyed working in her yard full of plants and flowers and watching the many birds. We will always remember her family get togethers and holidays full of wonderful food, love and fun! With her wonderful sales abilities, Olive worked for many years at the Hallmark Stores, McClurkans, and Sam's Club.
Olive was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James Blanton, daughter, Kathy Rexrode, sister, Thelma Isles and husband Sam Isles, brother, Billy Farrell, and nephew, Clive Isles.
She is survived by her children, sons; Mike Blanton and wife Shirley of Hewitt, Texas, Steve Blanton of Wichita Falls, daughter; Patsy Walls of Wichita Falls and son-in-law; Frank Rexrode of Wichita Falls. Grandchildren; Whitney Estridge and husband Tracy, Dylan Rexrode, Ryan Walls, Jimmy Blanton and wife Leslie, Scott Blanton and wife Laurie, Amy Allen and husband Jim and Debbie Irwin. Great grandchildren; Christopher Lewis, Jackson, Kennedy and Benjamin Blanton, Bailey Blanton, Brandon, Nick and Joshua Allen, and many nieces and nephews.
