Memorial Services will be held Friday, December 9th at 10:00 am at Hampton Vaughn Crestview Funeral Home. The family will receive friends after the funeral service.
Olivia was born April 13, 1935, in Truscott, Texas to Ralph Caram and Mary Arredondo Caram. After graduating from Munday High School, she moved to Wichita Falls where she attended Draughan’s Business College and worked for the Deaton Furniture Store. On November 28th, 1954, she married the love of her life, Lee Palacios. Olivia retired from Beneficial Finance Company after thirty-five years and worked at both Gordan’s Jewelers and Kay Jewelers for over 25 years.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Wichita Falls; was active in the Business Professional Women organization; a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority; and was a founding member of Club Capri, which provided scholarships to Hispanic students.
Olivia was an excellent cook, enjoyed entertaining family and friends, and traveling with her sorority sisters. Her biggest joys were her daughter, granddaughters and great-granddaughters.
Olivia is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Taylor and husband Jeff of Wichita Falls; granddaughter Libby Coker and husband Camrann; granddaughter Lori Anne Taylor; great-granddaughters, Lily and Charlotte Coker; sister, Lydia Acosta and husband Alfred; brother, Ralph Caram, Jr. and wife Bea; sister-in-law, Delfina Martinez; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Albert Caram; brother, Freddie and wife, Stella Caram; and sister, Estelle and husband Lucio Garcia.
