Ouita Lanell Bock

May 31, 1927August 8, 2018

Ouita Lanell Bock, 91, of Wichita Falls, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 8, 2018. Graveside services will be at 4:00 PM, Friday, August 10, 2018 at Crestview Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home. Ouita was born on May 31, 1927, in Bluegrove, Texas to Emma Rector. She married her groom and personal hero, Bill Bock, on May 16, 1946, in Wichita Falls, where they continued to live in loving service to God, family, and each other until his death in 2009. Ouita devoted most of her life to keeping a happy, healthy home for her family. Once her children were older, she attended Draughon's Business College and also worked as an electrolysis technician at Dermaculture for over a decade. She was a member of the Wichita Falls Church of Christ. Ouita was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Emma Lyde, and her husband, Bill Bock. Ouita loved to paint and garden. She believed in the power of prayer and loved people, so she devoted her later years to praying for those who had experienced loss, by reading her church bulletin, local obituaries, and watching the evening news. Survivors include her three daughters: Lynda Gayle Foster of Duncan, Oklahoma, Sharon Kaye Wallace and husband Joe, and Pamela Jo Bock, all of Wichita Falls. She also leaves behind a sister: Katherine "Cub" Lindsey; brothers: Luke Lyde and Roy Lyde; grandchildren: Scott Simpson and wife Sonia, Shonna Norton and husband Michael, John Foster, Stephen Ritchie and wife Kimberlie, Josh Ritchie and wife Laura, and Madison Andrus; and her "special little GGs" (great-grandchildren): Brayden Williams, Siavash Simpson, Luke Ritchie, and Cadence Ritchie. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls. Online condolences may be made at

As an In-Law, it's a little different, but I will always remember how warm Uncle Bill and Aunt Quita treated me and how friendly they were. It was obvious how much love there was between them and Cub and my precious Jan. I know that she's been lifted up on the wings of angels to meet all those that have gone before.

Momma Bock you were an amazing godly woman who I love dearly. I'll miss not hearing Pamys phone ring at 7:40 am to let Pam know you were able to get your paper. I'll miss the nightly phone calls Pamy would make to remind you your favorite show was on. I'll miss not getting to bring you ice cream or a malt or hamburger. I could go on and on about the very dear to my heart memories. Prayers for all for strength and comfort during this difficult time. Love to all of you 💜
