Patricia Boyd

Patricia Wilbanks Boyd, 91, of Wichita Falls, passed away on October 20, 2026. A family memorial is planned at a later date.

Patricia Jean Wilbanks was born on November 21, 1934 in Quanah, Texas to the late Aarn (Bill) Wilbanks and Margie Lee Bates Wilbanks. She graduated from Quanah High School in 1952. She attended American Business Institute in Fort Worth, Texas, and took various courses at Vernon Regional Junior College and Midwestern State University.

Pat worked at the Texas Employment Commission in Vernon from 1969, where she was named manager of that office in 1978. In 1984, she transferred to Wichita Falls where she became the Unemployment Insurance Claims Assistant Supervisor. She retired in 1994, but later returned to TEC in 1999 to work on the Trade Act Program. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Quanah and Vernon when she lived those cities. She later was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Wichita Falls.

Survivors include her son: Mark Stephen Teel of McKinney, Texas; her daughter: Stephani Michelle Cash of Wichita Falls, Texas; 5 grandsons: Mark Teel II, Matthew Teel and wife Sarah, Ethan Teel and wife Bianca, Tanner Cash, and Morgan Cash; granddaughter: Haley Teel; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Pat was preceded in death by a brother: Robert Aaron Wilbanks in 1945.

Pat lovingly supported the amazing work of St. Jude’s Hospital in the quest to save children from terminal illnesses. We know that she would appreciate any memorial made to them.
