Paula was a sweet kind and funny soul. My memory of her was when we were in band. There she was in high school and a few of us junior high band members were allowed to go to the high school football game in Decatur. We ride the bus with the band and of course we were nervous as heck. But, Paula took me under her wing and made the experience a memorable one for me. We both played the bass clarinet and she helped me fit right in. I always admired her for that. She had a great smile and a warm and pleasant personality. Bless her and her family.
