

He married Nell Marie McNeill on December 23, 1964 and was happily married for 61 years.
He served his country in the Army from 1962-1969, serving in Germany, Italy and 2 tours in VietNam. He had a long career in the telecommunications industry until 2000 when he retired.
He and his wife spent their retirement years traveling and serving others, volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, the VA Healthcare System and Winter Ranch RV Park.
In 2016 they settled in Wichita Falls where they became members of Faith Baptist Church. They continued their service volunteering with their church and the local DAV until his death.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son Carey Wayne French.
He is survived by his wife Marie, daughter Regenia Lack and husband Allen, daughter Marijo Crouse and husband Lance, 8 grandchildren, Melissa, Jason, Princess, Justin, Savannah, Lance Jr., Caitlyn and James Robert and 10 great grandchildren, Bailey, Alexis, Hunter, Colton, Krimsen, Lakota, Tatum, Bryce, Madison, and Stella. He dearly loved and was so proud of them all.
The family thanks all who called, visited and helped us through his time of illness, with special thanks to Rod and Connie Johnson and Faith Baptist Church.
There will be a memorial service on May 30th at 2:00 pm at the Johnson Cemetery in Munday, Texas.
