Robert Jefferson Young

Robert Young, 68, of Wichita Falls passed away Friday, September 13, 2013. A graveside service has been scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Crestview Memorial Park in the Garden of Angels officiated by Reverend Eddie Klump.

Robert was born September 20, 1944 in Stamford, Texas to Weldon Jefferson and Lucy Eliene (Terrett) Young. He served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. February 2, 1988 he married Vickie Lynn Bennett in Lawton, Oklahoma. He was a dedicated truck driver for Maverick who was contracted to work for PPG. He loved watching western movies with John Wayne or Clint Eastwood and more recently CSI and NCIS. He admired his large noisy birds. Robert was a devoted husband and loving grandfather.

Mr. Young is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Vickie Young in 2008; parents, Weldon and Lucy Young; sister, Drusilla Ross; and brother, James Young.

Survivors include his devoted children and their spouses, Ainslee Pickenpaugh of SC, Clair and Alvaro Segura of MS, Paul and Kimberly Young of Saginaw, TX, Robert II and Julie Young of Wichita Falls; eleven grandchildren, Marie, Thomas, Robert, Josh, Diamond, Cassie, A.J., Meghan, Justin, Leanna, Robert III; and six great-grandchildren.
