

Rose Angeline McCutcheon, age 96, was called home by her Heavenly Father on Friday, November 11, 2011 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at West Side Baptist Church with Pastor Tommy Free officiating. Graveside Services will follow at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.
Mrs. McCutcheon was born September 19, 1915 in Motley County, Texas to Oscar and Hester (Owens) Callaway. She grew up in Harmon County in Oklahoma. She spent most of her adult life as a teacher in public schools and in Sunday Schools. She taught 17 years at Lamar Elementary School in Wichita Falls. She was an active member of West Side Baptist Church for 50 years, since 1961.
She married Leo McCutcheon in Hollis, Oklahoma on December 23, 1933. He preceded her in death on November 14, 2000. She was also preceded in death by her parents and 3 sisters, Toye Caswell, Pauline Sheriff and Earle Williams. She left many beloved friends and former pupils. She is survived by a loving son, Philip Leo McCutcheon, his lovely wife, Shirley, and 3 grandchildren; Lt. Col. Philip Douglas McCutcheon, David Stuart McCutcheon and Dr. Sheryl Ann McCutcheon Blair - also 11 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6 PM to 8 PM on Monday, November 14, 2011 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the West Side Baptist Church, 1914 Buchanan St. Wichita Falls, TX 76309.
