Rosemary Holt

Rosemary was born on December 29, 1934 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Chester and Katherine (Mayer) McKee. Rosemary was the youngest of 7 children. She moved with her parents to Amarillo, Texas in 1951.

Shortly after her move to Amarillo, she met the love of her life, Levi Holt. Upon his return to Texas while on leave from the Navy, they were married on July 12, 1953. She and Levi settled in Wichita Falls in 1955. Rosemary worked at Cyrus W. Scott Manufacturing until the early 1980's. She then went to work for WFISD, in the cafeteria at Barwise Junior High. She also started work at Kmart, where she retired after 20+ years. She loved spending time with family and friends. She and Levi were a part of the Western Swing group and loved to go dancing in Nocona and Amarillo.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, her parents, two brothers; Eli Burris (Jack) and Leroy (Bub), four sisters; Dorothy, Gertrude (Gerty), Christine (Skeen), and Virginia (NiNi), and grandson Travis Holt.

She is survived by her four sons: Steve (Lea) Holt of Runaway Bay, TX; Rodney (Kathy) Holt of Destin, FL; Brian Holt of Wichita Falls, TX, and Jeff (Cecelia) Holt of Lantana, TX. Seven grandchildren: Crystal (Tony) Russell of Wichita Falls; Mikey Holt of Wichita Falls; Keely (Dylan) James of Justin, TX; Tyler Holt of Greenville, TX; Karlyn (Joshua) Baggett of Arlington, TX; Kylie Holt of Old Town, ME and Konnor Holt of Plano, TX. Ten great grandchildren; Ernie (Aubrey) Russell of Virginia Beach, VA; Michael Holt of Durant, OK; Cameron, Jayden and Jase Holt of Wichita Falls; Bryant, Adler and Cora James of Justin; Oliver and Macie Baggett of Arlington. One great-great granddaughter: Sadie Russell of Virginia Beach. Numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends

Graveside services will be held 11am, March 23, 2024 at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Memorial Park, 1917 Archer City Hwy, WIchita Falls, Texas . Cremation services have been entrusted to Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.
