What a great photo of Russell in uniform. I did not know Russell which is a shame since we were distant relatives. He appears to be the kind of man I would have been proud to be around. In addition to our ancestry we have in common our US Army field Artillery lineage. I just returned from the 30th annual Field Artillery OCS Alumni Chapter reunion at Fort Sill where many of Russell's fellow inductees of The Honorable Order of Saint Barbara were in resplendent attendance at a formal dinner. It was an honor to be in their presence and will be an honor to be at First Sergeant Russell's side some day.
The inclusion of Russell's baby photo with Mom & Dad was a great idea. An awesome photo. A lot of good stuff went on in between those photos. Probably some stuff that was not so good either but that's life.
I am sure Russell was a good son,a good man, a good husband, a good Father, a good friend and all that goodness will be missed by all that loved and respected him.
