Ruth Kennedy , 100 , passed away Friday June 15, 2012 in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Funeral Service will be held at 3 PM Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Chapel.
Visitation will be 6-8 Monday June 18, 2012 at the Funeral Home.
Ruth was born June 3, 1912 in Bridgeport, Texas to Joe M. and Lou Ann Kelsey. After graduating from school, she spent a long career in nursing, retiring in Wichita Falls after 35 years.
Ruth loved her volunteer work and did so for several organizations, such as Toys for Tots, Quilting Benefits for Midtown Manor and The Wichita Falls Area Food Bank.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Rosa Holder and Bertie Vieth; four brothers, Walter, Joseph, Bobby and Jack Kelsey.
Ruth is survived by her son, Joe H. Kelsey and two sisters, Mildred Chandler of Holliday and Ethel Raley of Wichita Falls.
