Sandy married Herschel Lee Smith March 6, 1958. The couple had five children. Early in their marriage they traveled with the military and lived in Lawton, Oklahoma before settling in Wichita Falls in the 1970s.
Sandy was a homemaker most of her life. She loved her family and was always ready to have fun. She loved to shop and work in her garden. She was never one to sit idle very long.
She is survived by her sons, John Smith Sr and wife LaDonna, Stanley Smith and wife Terry all of Wichita Falls, daughter Julie Smith Lim and husband Chhongly of Dallas, TX, brother, Sherman Bolen and wife Janice of Greensboro, NC, 6 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Herschel Lee Smith, her son Herschel L. Smith, daughter Susan Smith Forsythe, 2 grandchildren, and many brothers and sisters.
A private service will be held for family on Friday, November 14, 2025.
