

Sharon Diann Cowart, beloved wife, mother, Nana, and faithful servant of the Lord, passed away peacefully in Wichita Falls, Texas, on June 6, 2026. Born on December 11, 1946, in Fort Worth, Texas, Sharon lived a life marked by faith, love, service, and devotion to her family.
A longtime resident of Wichita Falls, Sharon was a devoted member of Faith Baptist Church, where her love for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, guided her life and inspired those around her. Her faith was evident in her kindness, compassion, and unwavering commitment to her family and church community.
Sharon's greatest joy was her family. She cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who lovingly knew her as "Nana." Her home was filled with warmth, laughter, abundant love, and the beautiful quilts and sewing projects she created with her talented hands. Whether stitching a quilt or sewing, attending family gatherings, or simply sharing time with loved ones, Sharon found happiness in caring for others.
Throughout her career, Sharon was known for her dedication and strong work ethic. She worked in customer service for Siemens and later served as Office Manager for Arthur Construction, where she built lasting friendships and earned the respect of colleagues through her professionalism and kindness.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Paris and Ola Rachuig; and her brothers, Johnny Paris and his wife Pat, Pete Paris and his wife Eve, Tommy Paris, and Gary Paris.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of 60 years, Michael Cowart; daughters, Diann Davenport and husband Scott, and Christi Cook and husband Kyle; grandchildren, Lindsey Gilbert and husband Westin, Lauren Preston, Madison Marsh and husband Jarred, Beau Cook and wife Bailey, and Kaylee Morath and husband Matthew; and great-grandchildren, Jackson Gilbert, Kase Preston, Collins Gilbert, Avery Preston, Landry Preston, Milo Marsh, and Theodore Morath.
She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Shirl Harwick, Carolyn Paris, and Kay Paris, along with numerous extended family members, friends, and fellow believers whose lives were blessed by knowing her.
A celebration of Sharon's life will be held on June 6, 2026, at 2:00 pm, at Faith Baptist Church in Wichita Falls, Texas. Following the service, Sharon will be laid to rest at Henson Cemetery in Red Springs, Texas.
Though Sharon's time on earth has come to an end, her legacy of faith, love, generosity, and devotion to family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her family finds comfort in knowing she is now in the presence of her Savior, hearing the words, "Well done, good and faithful servant."
