Shawnee Perkins, 25, of Wichita Falls died Friday, August 10, 2012 near Beeville, TX. A memorial service has been scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel.
Shawnee was born February 28, 1987 in Wichita Falls to David and Sonia (Willis) Perkins. She was a writer, having written hundreds of poems and songs. She attended Falls Point Church.
Ms. Perkins is preceded in death by her son, Zane Taylor Perkins in 2010; grandmother, Mary Lee Milam; and grandfathers, Leon Perkins and Charles Willis.
Survivors include her daughter, Jacelyn-Eve of Wichita Falls; father and wife, David and Tiffany Perkins of Brandon, MS; mother and husband, Sonia and Steve Lewis of Wichita Falls; sisters, Tara Perkins, Jennifer Perkins; grandmother, Opal Roland; three aunts; and five uncles
.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a trust fund being set up in her daughter’s, Jacelyn-Eve, name at American National Bank.
