She was born in Marysville, Kansas on April 1, 1932 and was the daughter to the late Frank Ben Smith and Mildred (Yoder) Smith. She graduated South High School in Denver, Co and shortly after married Robert Paul Beck in 1949. They moved to Wichita Falls, TX in 1954 and her husband retired in 1984 after 38 years of civil service in the United States Air Force. She was a devoted housewife and involved in the church.
She will be remembered for her kind spirit, compassion for others and her contagious smile.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Melissa (JE) Padgett and Bradley (Michelle) Beck; her great grandchildren, Hunter, Colton and Aubrey Padgett and Lauren and Lydia Beck.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Rose Lubak, her husband, Robert Beck after 56 years of marriage and her son and daughter-in-law, Alan (Barbara) Beck.
A graveside service for Shirley will be held Friday, May 2, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home, 1917 Archer City Hwy, Wichita Falls, TX 76302.
