Sylvia Plain

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, January 30, 2022 at 2 PM Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held Saturday January 29, 2022 from 5-7 PM at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home.

Mrs. Plain was born April 3, 1936 in Hillsboro, TX to Henry and Maggie (Little) Sullivan. She married Henry Morgan Plain January 3, 1958 in Waco, TX.

When Sylvia got married, she decided to dedicate her life to being the best wife and mother she could be. She filled their home with warmth, love, and safety. She was an exceptional wife and mother.

She was more than happy to be the central figure in her children’s lives. Anyone that knew her, knew that she was a star in their eyes and that’s all that mattered to her.

Through her, we all know the meaning of resilience and perseverance. She was a fighter and though the last years have been a struggle she is victorious. She has won the race… she is reunited with Morgan, her husband of 55 years and other loved ones that have preceded her in death.

Preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry Morgan Plain; daughter-in-law, Lynn Plain; and siblings, Dorothy, Della, John L, Billy Gene, Junior, and Mike.

Survivors include 3 children, Scott Plain, Delana Stevens and husband Sam, Lori Bellamy and husband Ralph; 6 grandchildren, Chris Walker and wife Angela, Brandon Bellamy and wife Teri, Dan Walker and wife Jacklyn, Lauren Aponte and husband Daniel, Ryan Plain, and Maggie Sanchez and husband Lorenzo; 15 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Delores, Jill, Ernestine; brother, Jack; numerous nieces and nephews.
