
Terri Smyers, a devoted and compassionate individual, passed away on February 5, 2026, at the age of 63. Born on May 7, 1962, in Dallas, Texas, Terri was the beloved daughter of CW and Connie Rowell. She spent her life in Texas, where she graduated from Iowa Park High School in 1980, actively participating in sports such as volleyball and basketball. Terri furthered her education at Midwestern State University, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, and was cherished as a little sis to the Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity.
Terri dedicated 40 years of her life as a paralegal in Wichita Falls, Texas, working diligently for various attorneys. Her career was marked by her selfless and hard-working nature, and she was known for her resilience and honesty.
A loyal and devoted mother, Terri was a hard-working single mom who ensured her children never went without. She set a high standard as a GiGi to her six grandchildren, who were the joy of her life. Her personal interests included watching sports, spending time with her family, and scrapbooking.
Terri is preceded in death by her parents and her mother-in-law, Allison Smyers. She is survived by her brother, Jim Rowell, and his wife Ashley of Washington; her sister, Linda Hipol of Wichita Falls; her son, Jacob Smyers, and his wife Brittany of Holliday; her daughter, Ashlea Smyers of Holliday; and her six grandchildren, Madison, Jace, Railynn, Justin, Leighton, and Masyn Jo. She also leaves behind three nieces, Jessica, Betsy, and Rachael, as well as four nephews, Ryan, Parker, Michael, and Daniel.
Terri's legacy of compassion and devotion will be fondly remembered by her family and friends, especially to those who knew her home was always open and they would be loved just like one of her kids. Her presence will be deeply missed, and as her loved ones reflect, "Our lives and the stands in Holliday will never be the same without her."
