Timothy Lee Couch

Timothy Lee Couch, 48, of Wichita Falls passed away Monday, November 16, 2015. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at the chapel of Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home with Bishop Tim McCaleb officiating. Interment will follow in Crestview Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 Monday evening at the funeral home.

Tim was born September 14, 1967 in Sweetwater, TX to Steve and Mary (Ayers) Couch. He was a 1986 graduate of Hirschi High School. He was an avid golfer and lover of sports, especially high school and college football. Tim began his career in aviation in the fall of 1986 and fell in love with it immediately. He started in shipping and receiving and eventually accomplished his dream of owning his own company. Tim truly lived the ‘American Dream’.

Tim joined the church as a young boy and was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. He was genuine, generous, selfless, a lover of life, God, family, his church, his wife, children and grandchildren.

Tim was preceded in death by both his maternal and paternal grandparents and was joined in death by his wife, Sherry Lynn (Shields) Couch. He is survived by his parents, Steve and Mary Couch; his daughters, Brook Couch Gardea and husband Juan and Alicia Couch and Louis Burns, along with their mother, Julia, all of Wichita Falls; stepchildren, J. R. Shields and Nathalynn, Clint Shields and Bailey and Tessa Shields and Jeremy; brothers, Steven, Jimmy, Paul and David Couch; a sister, Beth Heldt, all of Wichita Falls.; grandchildren, Audrina, Aubrey, Andres, Gabe and Madilynn; also numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a favorite charity in Tim’s memory.
