Tommy C. James passed on September 27, 2026, at the age of 88. Tommy was a devoted family man, a man who never met a stranger. A truck driver for 50 years. He shared a beautiful, enduring love with his wife, Evelena James, to whom he was married for 70 years. Together they built a beautiful family that Tommy loved more than life itself. He was a proud, protective, and loving father to his children, Donna Gayle, Laura, Belinda, and Ricky.
Tommy was a deeply adored grandfather to his grandchildren: Brandon, Nicole, Justin, Josh, Ashley, Daniel, Christina, Alisha, Lacey, Robert, Jill, Matt, and Heather.
His legacy further blossoms through his cherished great-grandchildren: LuLu, Alison, Dustin, Jacob, Fay, Jessie, Ethan, Bella, Michael Thomas, Nathan, Amelia, Kristen, Tyler, Emily, Jack, Logan, Madeline, Lily Bell, and Radley.
Tommy loved his Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, and Texas Longhorns. He also loved sitting back to watch old western on television.
We will always fondly remember how dad never passed the refrigerator without opening it, and will forever cherish his favorite saying: "When the going gets tough, the tough get going." Dad also loved to joke and say: "I can't die because Heaven doesn't want me and Hell is afraid I will take over."
God saw daddy become weary and called him home to rest. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, deep family devotion, and a spirit that will never be forgotten.
