A memorial service will be at 10 AM, Saturday, July 21, 2018 at First United Methodist Church.
Vivian was born April 25, 1936, in Mexia, Texas to Jack and Florence Norris Patton. On May 30, 1965, she married James, "Jim" Lawrence. James preceded her in death in 2010. She loved James' children, Sandra and Jeff as her own.
Vivian was a very kindhearted and giving person. She had many hobbies and talents, which included painting, quilting, sewing, cooking and decorating. She made everyone she met feel like family. Her favorite time of year was Christmas.
Vivian is survived by her brother: Lawrence Patton of San Antonio; sister: Martha Pickett of Burkburnett, Texas; stepson: Jeff Lawrence of Albuquerque, New Mexico; step-daughter: Sandra Bryant of Richardson, Texas; niece Marsha Howell and husband Perry of Burkburnett, Texas; nephew: David Pickett of Burkburnett, Texas; great niece: Stephanie Nixon, husband Nick, and their children: Madilyn and Piper of Iowa Park, Texas; great niece: Stacy Barker and husband William of Round Rock Texas; great niece Kristi Robertson and husband Justin from Kingwood, Texas. Her great nephew Joshua Howell was like the son Vivian never had. She watched over him from the time he was born and he held a very special place in her heart. Vivian is also survived by Joshua's wife Ashley and their children: Bentley, Lincoln and Daxton of Burkburnett as well as many other loved ones, family, and friends.
Vivian loved her puppies and also cared for the many stray cats around the neighborhood. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donation to Emily's Legacy and Texas Pit Crew.
