Wanda "Mitzi" Arrington

Wanda “Mitzi” Arrington, 85, of Wichita Falls died Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at her home. Services have been scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2011 at Crestview Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel officiated by Reverend Howard Chapman of First Baptist Church. Entombment will follow directed by Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home. Mitzi was born May 2, 1926 in Wichita Falls. She married Howell Lee Arrington May 2, 1946 in Wichita Falls and together they raised two sons. She was a member of the Calamity Jane volunteer first aide group many years ago. Mitzi was involved in PTA and other organizations involving her boys when they were in school. Mrs. Arrington is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Howell Lee Arrington in 1988; and mother and step-father, Clara (Ficklin) and Raymond Coplin. Survivors include her devoted sons and daughter-in-law, Phil and Pam Arrington of Frisco, TX, Keith Arrington of Austin, TX; granddaughter and husband, Robin and Kevin Carpenter; and two great-grandchildren, Cambell and Griffin Carpenter all of Frisco, TX. Mrs. Arrington will be available to view Thursday evening and Friday morning at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home. If desired, memorials may be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls.
