

Wanda Louise Taylor (81) passed away on May 3,2026 holding the hand of the love of her life, her soulmate and husband of 40 years Robert (Bob) Taylor, at the Gables at Rolling Meadows in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Wanda was born on July 22, 1944, to George Kimble and Helen Foster Kimble in Wichita Falls, Texas.
She was a military wife and moved at least 65+ times during her life. Wanda had a talent for making each place a home full of love for her family. She always found time to spend with each one individually and had an exceptionally special relationship with each one of her children and grandchildren. Creating memories that each of us can carry with us.
Wanda found joy in many forms. Family game time was always at the top of her list for a fun time. She also enjoyed reading, playing cards, Scrabble and playing games on the Wii, any other games people would let her win.
Wanda is survived by her loving husband Robert Taylor (84). Two sisters, Linda Nix (Bobby) and Marilyn Kelton. Five sons, David Downing (Lisa), Gary Downing (Linda), William (Billy) Downing (Maria), Jeff Taylor, and Toby Pientok(Stacy). Three daughters, Laonnie K. Johnson, Janet Duffee (David), Alissa Kurtz (Zane). Grandchildren: Misty Lavy, Natalie Johnson, David Lee Downing, Logan Downing, Ayrca Downing, Jim Orm, Tim Orm, Sandy Pfarr, Tiffany Young, Ross Downing, Bradley Wimberley, Kaylee Downing, Kenji Bone, James Downing, Brandon Duffee, Gary Cooper, Ben Taylor, Sam Taylor, Hayes Kurtz, and TJ Pientok along with numerous great-grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren, and a ton of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents George and Helen Kimble, a brother, Joe Kimble, and a son James Russell Downing.
There will be a graveside service on Friday May 8th at 11am at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Memorial Park located at Veteran’s Garden II, Block A, Lot 22, Space 3, 1917 Archer City Hwy, Wichita Falls, Tx 76302.
