Wesley L Moore

Wesley Lee Moore, born April 14, 1940, in Oak Hill, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a life full of love, laughter, hard work, and adventure. He was a devoted husband, dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, and friend — someone who could always make you smile with a quick joke or a well-timed prank.

On December 22, 1960, Wesley married the love of his life, Janetta. The two built a beautiful life together, filled with love, family, and countless memories. They were true partners, side by side through all of life’s seasons.

Wesley is survived by his son, Bobby Moore, and his wife, Kathy, of Iowa Park; granddaughter, Briana Moore, of Meeker, Colorado; grandson, Ryan Moore, of Wichita Falls; and step-granddaughters, Morgan Patterson of Wichita Falls, and Fallon Hall and her husband, Dylon, of Electra and great grandson Wade Hall of Electra.

He was preceded in death by his parents, six sisters, and eight brothers.

Wesley was a talented mechanic who loved working with his hands — fixing things, building things, and always staying busy. He also had a true love for ranching, working outside, and caring for his horses which gave him a deep sense of peace and purpose. He loved the quiet moments out in the pasture, a hard day of work, and the simple beauty of country life.

Wesley had a mischievous streak and loved making people laugh. Whether it was a playful trick or a quick-witted comment, he had a way of lighting up a room and putting people at ease.

He also had a real adventurous side. He loved to ride — whether it was his horses or his Harley. He loved the great outdoors.

More than anything, Wesley loved his family. He showed up, worked hard, and gave his whole heart to the people he loved. He’ll be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the stories we tell, the lessons he taught us, and the love he shared so freely. He was one of a kind, and we were lucky to call him ours.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls, who took amazing care of Wesley.

A visitation for Wesley will be held Monday, June 16, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home, 1917 Archer City Hwy, Wichita Falls, TX 76302. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home.
