He then entered a career in the tire industry and worked in management for various large tire companies.

At the age of 14, Harry began work as a pin boy in the local bowling alley and all the while, he honed a bowling career which lasted over 40 years. Cookies and ice cream were served and vocal Christmas music was performed.

Also, Harry served as a referee for high school and college football and basketball games for 20 years.

On June 10, 2011, Harry was presented a Certificate of Recognition for having served 59 years as a loyal member of the Elks Lodge, #1105 in Wichita Falls. On June 18, 2011 he was presented a Certificate of Appreciation in grateful acknowledge of the bountiful and thoughtful contributions given to further the program of TESA and aide the mentally challenged children of Texas.

I want the whole family to know what a wonderful person Harry was to me when he was my boss at Whites Auto Stores (1965, 1966, 1967). He kept me laughing all the time. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. I will truly miss him. Jan Henderson

Thoughts and prayers to Cindy and all the Brewer family. I had known Harry for many years back to his referee days when he made frequent visits to the Parks & Rec. office. I'm guessing that he's busy in Heaven cooking up something with George Studdard & Jimmy Doolen now. Harry was quite a guy and will be missed by many.
