age 67, of Wichita, Kansas passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 from Covid-19. Alan was born September 7, 1953 to Julius T. and Catherine Hipp.
Alan is survived by brother Ron Hipp (Barbara) (Overland Park), sister Judy Marstall (John)(Wichita), brother Kenneth Hipp (Peggy)(Wichita), and sister Karen Hipp (Overland Park), 12 nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews and a large extended family and many good friends.
Alan was preceded in death by his parents.
Alan was a devoted catholic and a lifetime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He spent countless hours at St. Joseph serving the parish needs such as the Special Olympics and Young Athletes program, ushering, men’s club, physical plant remodeling and repair, perpetual adoration, Knights of Columbus, The Lord’s Diner and the annual parish dinner.
Alan attended St. Joseph Catholic School, Bishop Carroll High School and graduated from Rockhurst University. He was employed as an accountant in the construction industry. Alan was an avid walker. He was a great sports fan and always thought he was the best umpire in the room.
A visitation for Alan will be held Sunday, January 17, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at DeVorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary, 201 South Hydraulic, Wichita, KS 67211. Private services will be held 9:30 AM Monday, January 18, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. These services will be livestreamed.
