Alfonzia Johnson

Johnson, Alfonzia, 80, the second son of the late Marcellous and Bonnie (Hughes) Johnson went to be with the lord on Sat. April 18, 2015 in Wichita, KS. Alfonzia was born on Aug. 19, 1934 in Longview, TX. Alfonzia and Fannie Johnson were united in marriage on Dec. 4, 1954 in Wichita. Together they celebrated 55 years of marriage before her passing in 2009. Alfonzia was baptized at Union Church of Christ at a very early age in Longview, TX. He attended Easton Elementary and graduated from the old Ned E. William School in Longview. He attended technical school in Wichita. He worked at Boeing Aircraft for years and retired. Alfonzia was a faithful elder and Sunday school teacher in Wichita until he passed. Preceded him in death was his wife, Fannie, daughter Glenda Garrett, newborn son, Ronnie Johnson brothers, Falvie, Sylvester, Robert, Ernest, Jerry and Marcellous, Jr. Survivors include his loving children, Alfonzia (Belinda) Johnson, Jr., Garry (Natalie) Johnson, Darryl (Kerry), Matthew Johnson, brother, Alburtus (Emma) Johnson, sisters, Mary N. Johnson, Bessie (Wallace) James, 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Alice Johnson, Uncle, Ben Johnson, Aunt, Elouise Tyiska, minister, T.H. Johnson and many more relatives in Texas, Kansas and California. Visitation will be held on Thurs. April 23, 2015 from 6 to 8pm at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th St. N., Wichita. Funeral services will be 10am on Fri. April 24, 2015 at Chisholm Trail Church of Christ, 5833 E. 37th St. N., Wichita. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Wichita.
