OBITUARY

Alfred L. Ogle

May 30, 1934June 7, 2018

Ogle, Alfred L., 84, retired from Checkers Grocery and member of Colonial Heights A/G, went fishing with Jesus, June 7, 2018. Alfred worked in grocery for over fifty years. After his retirement, he was known as "Big Al" at his part-time job at Campus High School. Alfred had a competitive spirit; whether it be playing cards, dominoes, league bowling, skiing, or his favorite past-time fishing, he was young at heart and always wanted to have that competitive edge. Above all, he was a loving father and grandfather and he will be dearly missed. He is preceded in death by his siblings, Charles, Robert, and Louis "Rex" Ogle. He is survived by wife of 66 years, Flora; daughters, Vickie (Gary) Hoggard, Rhonda ( David) Kilmer and Cathy "Leanne" (Rick) Schwilling; grandchildren, Shannan (Pete) Traylor, Shonda Russell, Jeremy (Allie) Kilmer, Julie Kilmer, Amy (Richard) Sparks, Andy (Stephanie) Schwilling, Adam Schwilling; 16 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; and siblings, Garry (Brenda) and Laura "Alice" Ogle. A visitation will be held from 3-5 p.m. Sun. June 10, 2018, at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 W. Hwy 54, Wichita, KS 67209, and his Celebration of Life service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 11, at Colonial Heights A/G, 5200 S. Broadway, Wichita, KS 67216. Memorials may be made to Colonial Heights A/G.

Al was on the bowling team called “has beens” with my dad this year. He would always be so cheerful when he saw me & would always say “about time” when I was late & would always call me “sweetie”. I always looked forward to seeing him bowl with my dad on Tuesday nights. He will be extremely missed. May God comfort his family, you’ll all be in my prayers.

Rhonda your dad was a sweet caring man. I know he was special to you.
Sorry for your loss. Besides seeing him at church I saw him at Campus in the
Cafeteria when I worked there a few years. May God give you and your family peace in the days ahead.
