

Alice Jean Clarke, 95, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on July 14, 2026. Born June 19, 1931, Alice lived a long life shaped by devotion to family, steady kindness, and the quiet strength of someone who made others feel heard and valued.
Alice cherished many wonderful times with her family, and she especially loved family reunions in Arkansas—gatherings filled with old stories, beloved cousins, and the familiar comfort of shared history. Her appreciation for where she came from and who she belonged to remained a guiding thread throughout her life.
On April 24, 1950, Alice married John D Clarke. In the years that followed, she poured her heart into home and family, offering a listening ear and the dependable care of a loving mother. She took genuine joy in a life grounded in family and friends, and those closest to her will remember the calm presence and thoughtful attention she gave so freely.
Alice’s interests reflected her patience and curiosity. She enjoyed reading, genealogy, sewing, crochet, and fishing—simple pleasures that spoke to her love of learning, creating, and savoring time well spent.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Frank D. Massey and Clara Pearl (Snider) Massey; Husband of 69 years, John D Clarke; son, David Clarke; brother, Bob Parke; sister, Donna Cline.
She is survived by her children: Gerald Clarke (Terri), Jimmy Clarke (Gina), Clyde Clarke, and Jane Bebermeyer (Jon); 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209, on July 22, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
A Committal Service will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209, on July 22, 2026, at 1:00 pm.
