

Alpha Martin Koster, age 97, died July 12, 2020. Alpha was born July 27, 1922, in Cheney, KS the son of the late Peter Carl Martin and Maude Emma (Meeker) Koster. Alpha was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Lilly Katherine “Kathy” Koster.
Survivors include daughters, Connie Kappes, Dade City, FL, Susan Koster, Niwot, CO, Patty Torgramsen, Lakewood, WA, grandson, Myles Nelson, Tacoma, WA, two great-great grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces.
Alpha, began work for Beech Aircraft Corporation in 1940 and retired after 53 years of service as a Productibility Engineer. He was an antique car enthusiast and member of the 1963/64 Cadillac Club, restoring, preserving, and showing his collection of vintage automobiles. He was HAM/amateur radio operator, enjoyed computers and tinkering with anything electronic or mechanical.
He was a kind, generous man who trusted in the goodness of others and won friends easily with his sense of humor. He will be greatly missed.
Alpha will be laid to rest on Thursday, July 23, 10:00 a.m., at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Wichita, Kansas. He was a USAF World War II Veteran. Graveside services will include Military Honors.
