Al served his country in the United States Coast Guard from 1963-1967. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife, Marilyn Kemmerer; and his brother, Fred Kemmerer.
He is survived by: his brother, Floyd Kemmerer; his grandchildren, Kimberly Cuthbertson, Sherri Edgin, Jill (Jim) Jenkins, and Dale Edgin; along with numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.
Public Visitation & Viewing will be held from 1:00 PM ~ 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 3, 2026; Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 PM, both at Derby Church of Christ, 225 North Derby Avenue, Derby, Kansas 67037. Cremation will follow the services with a private inurnment at a later date in Derby, Kansas.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with: Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, Florida 32256.
