Amber Christine Duncan, 29, passed away on October 6, 2026 from complications of Marfan's syndrome. Born on November 11, 1996, Amber will be remembered with deep respect and enduring love by all who knew her.
Amber attended high school at Metro Meridian and later pursued training through W.T.I. career training, building a foundation that reflected her steady determination and strong work ethic. She carried that same resolve into her working life, including employment at Boeing Aircraft and previously with the US post office—roles that suited her reliability, persistence, and straightforward integrity.
A woman of the outdoors, Amber found joy in open skies and moving water. She loved noodling, hunting, kayaking, and the many adventures she shared with Gene. Those who spent time with Amber knew her as someone who stood firmly for what was right—protective of the people she loved, unwaveringly loyal, and unafraid to speak the truth with clarity and conviction. Above all, she was a devoted mother who taught her child the simple, lasting joys of spontaneity and embracing every adventure life brings.
Amber was connected to her faith community at Gracepoint church, where her presence and spirit were part of the fellowship she valued. Her legacy is one of resilience and honest strength—of showing up, working hard, and loving fiercely.
Amber is survived by her mother, Heather wise; step-dad, Ken Wise; father, Danny Hunter; step-mom, Susan Hunter; sisters, Ashley, Amanda, Avrielle, Amilla, Misti, Heather, and Brittany; brother, Brian; son, Gene Arthur Duncan; and Pets Doc and Charlie 8 Nieces and 5 Nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Josh.
Visitation will be held at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209, on October 9, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
