Amelia Katherine Jacobs passed away May 24, 2022 at Kansas Medical Center. She was born January 15, 1944 in Garden City, KS to Carl and Emilie (Vonfeldt) Jacobs. She graduated from Garden City High School in 1962 and followed her parents and two younger brothers to Wichita where she worked in the aerospace industry. In later years she moved to Denver, CO where she obtained her airframe and powerplant license and completed a bachelor’s degree at Regis University. Amelia loved animals, especially her cat Tangie.
She is survived by her sons Justin (Janette) Jaekley of Olathe, KS, Jeff (Lynn) Jaekley of St Joseph, MO, and David Carson of Ponca City, OK; grandchildren Jackson Jaekley of Olathe, KS, Bailey and Kristin Jaekley of St Joseph, MO, and her brother, Charles Jacobs (Janet) of Wichita.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Jason Jaekley and brother, Eugene Jacobs.
