

Greiner, Anna B., 94, homemaker, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 19, 2011. Anna was a past president and involved with National Extension Homemakers Council for 35 years. Active member of Apostolic Christian Church, Sunday School and World Relief Projects. She had 40 plus years of volunteer service as a reading and math tutor at Kellogg and Linwood Elementary Schools, known as “The Jelly Bean Grandma”; she rewarded student focus with a jelly bean and a hug. She was awarded the Intergenerational Volunteer of the year and Good Apple Award from the Wichita Public Schools. She was an accomplished seamstress, knitter and quilter and donated several projects to charity.
Preceded in death by her husband George W., son Philip, sister Dorothy Brown, brothers Sylvan, Lester, Ernest, Rudolph, Franklin, David.
Survived by her sisters Elsie Hemphill of Lawrence, Emma Miller of Eldorado, Leona Herr of Green Valley, AZ, son Frank (Anna) of Wichita, Grandchildren Jennifer Malcom (Josh) of Augusta, Lora Squier (Scott) of Wichita and great grandson Chase. Visitation with family, 5-8pm, Fri. Oct. 21 at DeVorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary.
Memorial Service, 11am, Sat. Oct.22 at Apostolic Christian Church, 1202 Lulu.
